Human rights legislation over the past 70 years has arguably resulted in some of the greatest advances for human society. People are able to seek protection against torture and discrimination, and are recognised to have rights to life, family relationships, freedom of religion and privacy.
Yet at the same time there are clearly many people in the world who have these rights violated on a daily basis.
The Government is looking at introducing a British Bill of Rights.
In this context, this resource is offered to help churches to reflect on what human rights meant to Christians and to the society we live in.
